S-One Helps Students and Our Troops

SARASOTA, FL. — With its employee-led “Culture Club,” S-One Holdings Corporation, headquartered in Sarasota, Fla., finds many ways to engage with the surrounding community throughout the year. Over the past few months, S-One team members worked with Manasota Operation Troop Support and Mothers Helping Mothers to provide much-needed supplies in hopes of making a difference for those in need.
In coordination with MOTS, two of our team members, Mariah Groome and Rachel Tate, collected funds and organized a donation campaign to gather boxes of supplies to send to U.S. Military Troops. All of the care packages were delivered to Troops that are from or have a tie to Florida’s Sarasota and Manatee counties.
On July 12, several S-One teammates gathered to fill 31 packages that contained various snacks and goodies including Power Bars, beef jerky, canned fruit, cross-word puzzles, toothbrushes, razors and socks. The team assembling the care packages wrote personal notes on the items or the boxes themselves for the Troops to enjoy.
In August, S-One partnered with the Sarasota Healthcare Foundation for Mothers Helping Mothers to collect school supplies for the upcoming school year. Mothers Helping Mothers is a not-for-profit organization located in Sarasota, with a mission to provide clothing and household items for families in need.
The organization also offers emotional support in addition to referrals to other agencies and community resources for the families. In one year, they aid over 6,500 needy families with a total of 9,500 children.
For this drive, S-One donated backpacks, school supplies and gift cards.
