The lemonade stand will benefit childhood cancer research through Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF).

Alison Hospital 1The lemonade stand is being hosted in honor of S-One’s Hero, Alison Dragash, (pictured) daughter of S-One employee Jason Dragash, who was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and will be receiving treatment for 2.5 years.

“It was clear that as a company we wanted to join this fight to raise money to help find a cure as it hit close to home,” said S-One spokesperson, Carolyn Seketa. “We will be hosting three events in our efforts to raise money as we join the fight for our Hero and all the ALSF Heroes that need our help.” As this will be the main fundraising initiative for the year, the company will also be hosting a 3K walk to raise funds for ALSF in early fall.

Founded by Alex Scott (1996-2004) in 2004, Lemonade Days is a national event that grew out of Alex’s front yard lemonade stand. Held every June, an estimated 10,000 volunteers will host over 2,000 lemonade stands around the nation making a difference for children with cancer. About Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation: Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. Her spirit and determination inspired others to support her cause, and when she passed away at the age of 8, she had raised $1 million. Since then, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement. Today, ALSF is one of the leading funders of pediatric cancer research in the U.S. and Canada raising more than $175 million so far, funding nearly 1,000 research projects and providing programs to families affected by childhood cancer. S-One Surpasses Red Nose Day Fundraising Goal https://www.sone.com/s-one-surpasses-red-nose-day-fundraising-goal/ Thu, 01 Jun 2017 17:04:10 +0000 http://www.sone.com/?p=10562 S-One Holdings Corporation, headquartered in Sarasota, Fla., took part in Red Nose Day 2017 on May 25, with the goal to raise $2017. By day’s end, the company crushed its goal, bringing in $2735.54.

During lunch hour, S-One employees participated in a variety of activities, such as Selfie for a Slice, by posting photos and hashtags on social media, such as #rednoseday and #noseson. Other games, like the popular balloon dart toss, included a variety of ways to make donations to the Red Nose Day fund to help end child poverty locally and abroad.

“Our team has shown time and again to have a big heart when it comes to giving back, and they’re certainly not afraid to be silly with their Red Noses on,” says Art Lambert, President and CEO of S-One Holdings Corporation. “I can’t think of a more important cause than helping ensure children are healthy and safe.”

S-One also created an online fundraising page, here, encouraging anyone to donate to Red Nose Day.
